Meet Sheryl. She is a mighty powerful woman who is the owner of @judysislandgrilltoronto. But get ready for a name change. As with the entire industry life has been tough the last few years but Sheryl is in her 7th year which is a great accomplishment in our world.
The Jamaican food here is top notch. Everything is made daily by Sheryl and her cooks. There is a real warmth and happiness to the food and the people. I was lucky enough to have tastes of many things and I must say the homemade jerk sauce is awesome. The classic rice and peas has a kick which I Iove. Tangy bbq chicken is a winner and I am crazy for all the cool fruit juices. Do not miss her sweet potato pudding. It’s firm like a bread pudding. Take it home, warm it up and top it with great vanilla ice cream.
Let’s support the small beautiful businesses that make Toronto great.
